Lagos stood still on the 23rd of
December, 2014 as the Eko Hotel and Suites played perfect host to
Celebrities, Industry insiders, Society A-listers, and other Top
echelons at the annual Fashion and Music Event, Music Meets Runway 2014.
The brainchild of young entrepreneur Jennifer Olize, MMR Africa for 3
years running has been promoting talents in the Music and Fashion
industries by fusing performances by some of the most outstanding
artists in the Nigerian Music industry and with a runway showcase
featuring some of the most creative designs by up-and-coming designers
Nigeria has to offer, from Pret-a-Porter to Couture Fashion.

This event goes beyond the efforts to support Fashion and Music, it
also provides opportunities for philanthropic growth through the Music
Meets Runway Foundation, as a percentage of proceeds raised from tables
sold at the event will be donated to a chosen charity organizations to
encourage young students to follow their dreams as most of their schools
are plagued with infrastructural deficit common to the Nigerian
educational system.

Most guests brought their A- Game on as several A-Listers walked the
red carpet including Seyi Shay, Patoranking, Sharon Ojong, Funmi
Fagbemi, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Noble Igwe, Kunbi Oyelese, Shaydee, Banky W,
Emma Nyra, Toke Makinwa, Munachi Abi, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, Dakore
Egbuson-Akande, Denrele Edun, DJ Cuppy, Eniola Badmus, and a host of
others….

Wizkid, Dammy Krane, Sauti Sol – MTV EMA Best African Act, Seyi Shay,
Patoranking and other top acts delivered breath-taking performances to
the delight of guests present.
