Gen Olukolade tweets on Baga, reports on number of casualties

In a series of tweets, Nigeria Defence Spokesperson, Gen Chris
Olukolade reacted to all conflicting reports about Baga, the fight to
reclaim Baga, the number of civilians, military and militants killed
during last week’s attack by Boko Haram members.

According to Gen Olukolade, the number of deaths in Baga, both of
civilians and military cannot be “creditably counted”. He also added
that the military cannot also count the number of Boko Haram members
they killed. He says that Nigeria owns the fight against the terror
group and that for best reasons known to them, Niger and Chad
government withdrew their troops from the Multi Joint Task Force unit
in Baga.
