Suge Knight has reportedly killed a man after engaging in a fight on set of a film project in Compton, TMZ reports.
According to the site, the co-founder of Death Row Records got into an
altercation with two crew members on set of the project — which involved
the Game, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre — and then fled to his car, where he took off and ran over a bystander.
The bystander, who TMZ believes to be a friend of Knight’s named Terry Carter, was reportedly unable to be resuscitated by paramedics.
According to TMZ, sources says that the two crew members were the
instigators and that Knight was “scared because he’s in frail health”
following multiple recent gunshot wounds and almost dying from a blood
clot.
The incident comes after Knight engaged in a shooting this past August at Chris Brown’s pre-VMA’s party at 1OAK Los Angeles.
In 2005, Knight was involved in a shooting at Kanye West’s pre-VMA’s
party and was in the car when legendary rapper Tupac Shakur was fatally
shot in 1996.
Sgt. John Lindsay from the Compton Sheriff’s Station tells Us Weekly:
“The Compton Sheriff’s station is conducting an investigation of a
collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians near the intersection
of Rosecrans and Central. There’s no further information as it’s an
ongoing investigation.”
Lindsay adds they “have no knowledge of who the driver of the vehicle” was at this time.
