Now that’s what we call star power!
Carrie Underwood was joined by Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Usher, Meghan Trainor, One Direction, and Christina Aguilera to perform an a cappella version of Queen’s megahit “We Are the Champions” alongside Jimmy Fallon and his band The Roots (who provided a gentle vocal accompaniment to the celebs).
The star-studded performance kicked off the Sunday, Feb. 1 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon which aired after the much anticipated Super Bowl celebrations.
And in honor of the football game, and the Patriot’s win, Fallon and his celeb pals had recorded their solo and supporting voice parts, which came together into a fantastic melodious masterpiece!
Fallon set the musical ball rolling, singing the lyrics, “I paid my dues,” completely unaccompanied, before his band The Roots came in with some hums. One by one, Fallon’s celeb pals added their star power to the ensemble, while Fallon, continuing to sing and play air drums, looked on in awe.

At one point Shelton waved to his pal Fallon in a neighboring box, and Fallon, looking stunned, waved back.
