Will Smith is hoping to reestablish his reputation as a bankable film
star following the abysmal commercial performance of 2013’s After Earth (After Earth grossed more than $200 million worldwide, but was widely considered a failure by Will’s standards).
Will’s newest film project Focus is set to be released February 27; he’s currently filming the American sports drama Concussion; and he’s already signed on to star as Deadshot in 2016’s Suicide Squad.
News surfaced yesterday that Will has signed on to appear in another upcoming film project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will will star in the action-thriller film Bounty.
Will will portray a man wrongly convicted of murder who escapes from
prison determined to prove his innocence, only to have a $10 million
bounty placed on him by the widow of the man he allegedly murdered.
Sounds good!
Make sure you check out Focus February 27.
