At last, NDLEA ends siege, vacates Kashamu’s residence

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has finally vacated the
Lekki, Lagos residence of the Senator-elect for Ogun East Senatorial
District, Mr. Buruji Kashamu.

The operatives left the area shortly before 8pm on Thursday.

The anti-narcotic agency had laid siege to the Ijebu-born
politician’s house since Saturday in an attempt to facilitate his
extradition to the United States over drug-trafficking offences.

The Director of Kashamu’s campaign organisation, Mr. Lekan Adekoya,
confirmed the development to our correspondent on the telephone.

He said, “Yes. They have finally left. They left at 7.45pm.”
