Now, just two weeks ago, the couple got into a physical altercation
at their home in Goodyear, Arizona. They were both arrested for assault
and disorderly conduct. Griner took a plea deal to enter domestic
violence counseling in exchange for having her charges dropped. Johnson
reportedly enrolled in counseling voluntarily.
“It is never OK for an argument to
turn physical,” Griner said in a statement released through her
attorney. “This will never happen again, and I take my relationship and
my responsibility as a role model seriously.”
