Nicki Minaj And Meek Mill Declare Their Love, Plus 9 Other Huge Summer Jam Moments

EAST RUTHERFORD, New JerseyHot 97
does a pretty awesome job at advertising their annual Summer Jam
concert, but even after putting together an all-star lineup, the New
York-based radio station always manages to pull out a number of
unexpected and unforgettable moments.

Sunday night’s Summer Jam concert, which took place at MetLife
Stadium was no different. Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill and Big
Sean, were just a few of the expected guests, yet when it was all said
and done the concert’s biggest moments didn’t fit on a flyer.

MTV News was in attendance last night and in case you missed it, here are the 10 biggest moments of Summer Jam 2015.

  1. Fabolous And Friends

Fab treated the NY/NJ crowd to a ton of surprises. After performing a
couple of his own hits, Loso started a parade of Big Apple rap vets who
all came to perform their biggest hits, one after another. Black Rob,
Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Method Man, Redman, Raekwon, Mobb Deep,
Lil Kim, LOX and Ma$e all made their way to the stage while MetLife
    stood in awe.

  2. Nicki Tells Meek, “I Love You.”

What break-up rumors? Meek Mill brought out Nicki Minaj during
his exciting set. She performed “Only,” “Truffle Butter” and then saved
her best for right before she left the stage. “I love you Meek,” she
said sweetly as she moseyed backstage.

  3. Fetty Wap’s Big Birthday

Fetty killed the festival stage outside of MetLife and then got a chance
to hit the main stage to close out Sunday night. Time ran short before
he got to do “Trap Queen,” but “My Way” rang off quite nicely. Oh yeah,
    it was also his birthday.

  4. Kendrick Lamar Performs To Pimp A Butterfly

Dot has been kind of quiet since he dropped his TPAB album
earlier this year. There has been a few performances, but not many.
Last night was the first time he performed tracks like “King Kunta” and
“Alright” in the NYC area and boy was it worth the wait.

  5. Travis Scott

La Flame may have not been a main stage performer, but Scott lit
the festival stage on fire and had fans buzzing for the rest of the
night. He ran through his Rodeo tracks, kicked a photographer off stage, debuted his new song “3500” and once again proved why he’s one of rap’s best showmen.

  6. Chris Brown Brings Out 50 Cent

Fif was at the center of last year’s Summer Jam drama after
someone got robbed on stage during his set. This year the G-Unit
juggernaut says that security searched him throughly — but luckily for
fans, he made it inside. He performed with Chris and one-time rap rival
French Montana. There was absolutely no drama either. Salute these guys.

  7. Thousands Of People Singing “I Don’t F–k With You” At Once

You know why Big Sean’s “IDFWU” is a big hit? Because the fiery break-up
ode is relatable. Last night Sean got the entire MetLife Stadium to
relate when everyone shouted out “I don’t f–k with you” in unison. Wow.

  8. Meek Mill’s “Dreams & Nightmare” Intro

Meek Mill’s “Dreams & Nightmares” is an unlikely party starter,
since the beat on this crowd favorite doesn’t even drop until almost two
minutes in. But last night at Summer Jam, Meek decided to perform the
entire track acapella prompting a passionate sing-a-long amongst fans.

  9. Future As A Surprise Guest

Future Hendrinx wasn’t on the official bill, but thankfully Meek Mill brought him out to perform “F–k Up Some Commas.”

  10. The Chinx Shoutouts

New York City’s hip-hop scene is still hurting over the death Chinx, who
was murdered on May 17 after being shot multiple times. The Queens
rapper may be gone, but he is not forgotten. French Montana, Meek Mill
and Hot 97 DJ Bobby Trends all sent heartfelt rest in peace shout outs
    to the late MC.
