Manchester United Anthony Martial hits back at Arsene Wenger

Anthony Martial’s agent has laughed off criticism from Arsene Wenger.
The Arsenal manager questioned why Manchester United had paid ‘80m euros for a player who scored 11 goals in the French championship’ following the 19-year-old’s move to Old Trafford on deadline day.
And even after the Frenchman’s blistering start to his United career with four goals in four games, Wenger used his press conference on Friday to say he expects Martial’s goals to dry up at some stage this season.

Ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Leicester, Wenger said: “Now you have to accept that he might score less.
“He is a very talented player. He was more of a winger than a striker.”
But Martial’s agent Philippe Lamboley has hit back by questioning Wenger’s assessment of Martial’s best position.
And he mocked the 65-year-old by adding ‘there are those who follow the players and those who buy them’.
Lamboley said: “Anthony is a true modern centre forward who can play a part.
“I am surprised by the analysis of Arsene Wenger, who has apparently been following him since he was a teenager.

“When he goes out wide, it is precisely to gain speed and beat the central defenders.
“If the analysis Arsene Wenger is made in order to justify not having signed Anthony, so I accept his words and so he is a winger. But in football, there are those who follow the players and those who buy them.”
