As HKN lead act, Davido turns 23 today, here are 23 facts about the singer as he celebrates another year.
1. Davido was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 21, 1992.
2. His father is Nigerian billionaire businessman, Adedeji Adeleke while is mom, Vero who was a university lecturer is late. 3. Davido’s uncle, Isiaka Adeleke is a former Governor of Osun State and currently a Senator of the Federal Republic.
4. Davido’s HKN mates, B Red and Sina Rambo as well as Adenike Adeleke, who recently launched her vlog, ‘Keeping up with Nikkos’, are his cousins being children of his uncle, Senator Isiaka Adeleke
5. For his secondary education, Davido attended the British International School in Lagos. 6. He later proceeded to study Business Administration at Oakland University in Alabama but that was shortlived as the singer dropped out and returned back to Nigeria.
7. He got admitted into Babcock University to study Music, a department his father helped set up.
8. Davido started music as a teenager in America. He initially used to backup for Sina Rambo who was a rising rapper in the US.
9. Davido’s debut single, ‘Back When’ which features Naeto C was well received and established him as an act to watch out for. He also reportedly paid Naeto C a sum of N1m to feature on the song. The song was recorded in London.

10. Davido’s first manager was Asa Asika is the cousin of Naeto C and Storm 360 boss, Obi Asika. 11. Davido’s 2nd single, ‘Dami duro’ was a massive hit which put him ahead of many of his peers. 12. Davido dropped his debut album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (O.B.O: The Genesis) on July 2012.

16. In May, 2015, Davido welcomed a baby girl who has since been named Imade with his baby mama, Sophie Momodu.
17. Davido’s baby mama is the cousin of veteran journalist turned politician, Dele Momodu.
18. In June 2015, he graduated from Babcock University with a second class upper degree in Music. 19.
