Pharrell Williams was behind a few of Justin Timberlake’s best songs, including “Rock Your Body” and “Señorita.” So it’s pretty exciting to hear word of the two talented musicians working together again.
Last night Justin Timberlake posted a photo of the two together in a recording studio, with just the caption “Currently…” Timberlake’s last record was the two part The 20/20 Experience, which had a few jams but failed to recapture the magic of his first two albums. Timberlake also just had a kid with wife Jessica Biel, which has prevented the singer from recording as often.
If he and Pharrell are really working on new music, it’s good news for all of us. Pharrell was recently behind the excellent comeback of Missy Elliott, so ideally he can work the same magic for JT. There’s also the possibility that JT and Pharrell were just shooting the shit and talking about their brackets, but we’d like to believe these artists know how much significance we place on their Instagram posts.
