Jose Mourinho’s Son Signs for Fulham

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho
said he took to coaching early as he was quick to realize he wouldn’t
become a good footballer. It proved to be a great decision, as he’s one
of the finest there’s ever been.
It’s a different story, however,
for his son Jose Mourinho Jr, who has just accomplished something his
famous father never could: land a playing deal with a professional club.
The BBC is reporting that Mourinho Jr, 16, has put pen to paper on a two-year scholarship deal with English football club, Fulham.
Mourinho
Jr, who plays as a goalkeeper, has already featured for the youth sides
of Chelsea and Real Madrid, teams managed by his father.
“Thank you to everyone who supported me, I’ll make you proud,” he said on Instagram, while pictured signing his contract alongside his mother Matilde.
Fulham
are currently in the second-tier of English football, the Championship,
and begin their campaign against Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle on Friday 5
August at Craven Cottage.
Could this be the start of another “special” story?
