2baba Idibia has kicked off a new project aimed at raising N14million in 14 days for the internally displaced persons in the country, and to encourage other celebrities to join him, he has contributed N1m.
The legendary singer, through his foundation – The 2face Foundation – shared the details of the project and included ‘equations’ he feels would help in achieving the targeted sum.
“Shey you know say one person fit donate the 14million naira wey we dey try to raise for IDPs through @the2facefoundation in partnership with KIND?” His foundation shared on Instagram, and then encouraged followers to tag celebrities they think can contribute to the cause.
Yesterday, 2baba posted yet another equation, this time with caricatures of stars like Basketmouth, Bovi and AY, who he thinks can give N3.5m each to IDPs.
This is not the first time celebrities would be
championing such causes or donating directly to Nigerians affected
by the Boko Haram crisis. Days ago, actress Empress Njamah gave cash and wheelchairs to the residents of an IDP camp in Abuja.
Now,
2baba has become the first star calling on his colleagues to join hands
to make the holiday season a happier one for the displaced in Nigeria,
and fans are already applauding him of this noble effort.
