A Georgia teen was sentenced to 40 years for an attack sparked by her friend’s online feud.

Myzelle Chantal Armstrong (pictured) was sentenced
to 4 years in prison and 36 years probation by a Cobb County, Georgia,
judge for aggravated battery and aggravated assault. The The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
reports that the charges stem from an attack where she aided a cohort,
who seriously injured two women by throwing hot oil at them.

The 19-year-old youth, some friends and a rival group of women became
involved in a heated exchange of words last February over some messages
and photos posted on Instagram. The women decided to take out their
anger by planning to duke it out at an apartment complex in Smyrna. When
Armstrong and her crew arrived at the residences, they reportedly came
strapped with weapons and oil that had been heated in a pot.

According to AJC, Armstrong held the victim’s car door open while one of her homegirls, Zawadi Clark,
threw the hot oil on two women as they sat in a car. One victim’s burns
were so severe that she was forced to undergo skin grafting. The other
victim, Ashley Hardy was treated for second degree burns and as a result will reportedly be left with lifetime scars.

When Armstrong was sentenced, she was reportedly inconsolable and
apologized profusely for her crime.  However according to Assistant
District Attorney, Jaret Usher, who spoke to AJC, the hot oil caper was very much premeditated because it took time for it to get heated on a stove.
