Nicki Minaj has undergone a drastic change in physical appearance
since hitting it big with the colossal success of her debut and second
albums.
With her current release The Pinkprint, Nicki has adopted a
more natural look, discarding the multi-colored wigs and wacky costumes
that many fans had become accustomed to.
Although Nicki’s peculiar days are far behind her, Grammys producer
Ken Ehrlich has chosen to revisit that time in the star’s career,
singling out her 2012 Grammys performance of Roman’s Holiday.
During the performance, Nicki manically tackled Catholicism and exorcism, angering many – and confusing others – in the process.
Speaking with Hits Daily Double, Ehrlich had the following to say about the former American Idol judge’s performance:
Nicki Minaj three years ago. I thought that was a disappointment both in
terms of what we did and to an extent what she did. I’m not going to
absolve us of any responsibility, but it just wasn’t good. If it had
been controversial and good, I think I would have been proud of it. But
we probably let out the string a little too much on that one.”
We wonder why Ehrlich is speaking out now and whether Nicki will respond to his remarks.
