AFCON 2025: BUA Group Chairman Pledges $500,000, $1,000,000 Other Bonuses To Super Eagles

The Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has unveiled a major financial reward package for the Super Eagles following their convincing victory over Algeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), a result that booked Nigeria’s place in the semi-finals.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts shortly after the quarter-final clash, Rabiu congratulated the players for what he described as a performance that “lifted the spirit of the nation.”

Details of the Bonus Pledge

According to Rabiu, the Super Eagles will receive $500,000 if they defeat tournament hosts Morocco in the semi-final. In addition, the BUA Group chairman promised a $50,000 bonus for every goal scored in that match.

He went further by announcing a $1 million reward should Nigeria go on to win the AFCON final, along with an extra $100,000 per goal scored in the championship game.

The incentive package is aimed at motivating the players as they approach the most decisive stages of the tournament.
