Anambra State Unveils Full Lineup for Ọnwa Dezemba 2025 Christmas Extravaganza

The Anambra State Government has officially released the full programme of events for Ọnwa Dezemba 2025, a Christmas and New Year celebration designed to make the festive season memorable for residents and visitors across the state.

The announcement was made in a statement on Saturday by the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, who said the initiative aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of promoting culture, entertainment, tourism, and community participation during the yuletide season.

Ọnwa Dezemba 2025: Dates and Purpose

According to the government, Ọnwa Dezemba will run from December 18, 2025, to January 4, 2026, featuring a rich mix of music, comedy, sports, children’s activities, and traditional performances.

The programme aims to celebrate Anambra’s cultural heritage, energise the entertainment industry, and provide safe, family-friendly recreation during the holiday period.

“The Anambra State Government, led by the Solution Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has released the lineup of events for the highly anticipated Ọnwa Dezemba, aimed at making December 2025 unforgettable for Ndi Anambra,” the statement read.

Government Urges Mass Participation

Commissioner Law Mefor urged Ndi Anambra to turn out in large numbers and take full advantage of the cultural and entertainment offerings planned for the season.

The events are expected to boost local businesses, tourism, and social engagement while showcasing Anambra as a major holiday destination in the South-East.

Role of Solution Fun City in the Festivities

Many of the events will take place at Solution Fun City, a flagship legacy project of the Soludo administration. The facility was officially opened for commercial and recreational use earlier this year and commissioned by President Bola Tinubu during a one-day visit to the state.

The opening ceremony featured performances by leading Nigerian artistes, including Flavour, who will also headline the Ọnwa Dezemba Home Coming concert.

Governor Soludo has said the facility is designed to:
