FG Shortlists Candidates For NSCDC, NIS, Fire Service CBT
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board has officially released the names of candidates shortlisted for the upcoming computer-based test (CBT) in the ongoing recruitment exercise for Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies.
This announcement was made in Abuja on Wednesday through a statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Retired Major General Abdulmalik Jubril. The board oversees recruitment for the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
According to the statement, all applicants who submitted entries for any of these agencies should visit the official recruitment portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — starting from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to confirm if they have been shortlisted.
Candidates are advised to check the portal not only to verify their selection status but also to review their respective CBT centres, dates, and time schedules. The board emphasized the importance of noting all test details carefully to ensure smooth participation in the next phase of the recruitment process.
The CDCFiB also cautioned applicants against visiting fake websites or unofficial links, reiterating that the only authentic portal for checking shortlisted candidates is the one provided above.
Earlier reports indicated that more than 1.9 million Nigerians had applied for positions across the four paramilitary agencies before the application portal closed on August 11, 2025 — a figure that highlights the strong interest in federal employment opportunities.
