Justice or Vengeance: The Case of Nnamdi Kanu Vs Boko Haram Leader – Pascal Candle
On November 20, 2025, Nigeria sentenced a man to life in prison for words spoken from foreign soil—after illegally kidnapping him from Kenya.
Just two days earlier, on November 18, The Federal High Court in Abuja has convicted and sentenced Hussaini Isma’il, one of the leaders of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, to a 20-year imprisonment. Boko Haram leader jailed 20 years. This judgement was handed over by an Igbo Judge,Emeka Nwite.
Before His arrest, Mr Ismail Hussain is Known as Mai Tangaran. This man is responsible for all the Killings in Kano, Kaduna and Abuja bombing from 2015 and 2017. Boko Haram has officially designated as a Terrorist Group globally by US and UN. Has US declared IPOB a Terrorist Group and Nnamdi Kanu a Terrorist?
I am not a Fan of Nnamdi Kanu. But what is good for Mai Tangaran of Boko Haram should be good for Nnamdi Kanu.
In Nigeria today, words from London carry a heavier penalty than mass murder.
What is good for Nnamdi Kanu is not good for Mai Tangaran, whose group have killed over 10,000 Nigerians.
In deed, Justice is served.
