Soludo Wins All 21 LGs As INEC Resumes Collation of Anambra Governorship Election Results

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially resumed the collation of results for the Anambra State governorship election, following a brief suspension earlier announced by the State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edogah Omoregie.

During the resumed session, presiding officers presented results from Anambra West and Ihiala Local Government Areas, reaffirming the strong performance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.

According to INEC’s updates, Soludo maintained a commanding lead across all declared results, securing victories in all 21 local government areas announced so far.

The electoral body had earlier postponed the collation to ensure transparency, accuracy, and the safe arrival of election materials from various polling units across the state. With the process now back on track, all eyes remain on INEC’s final declaration of the winner.

Observers have commended the commission for its adherence to due process, emphasizing the importance of fair play and credible elections in strengthening democracy in Anambra State.
