According to data from the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), the top 10 Nigerian stockbrokers NGX 2025 executed trades valued at N7.3 trillion, accounting for 61.82% of the total market value traded during the year.

This represents a 135.39% surge compared to the N3.1 trillion recorded by the same group of brokers in 2024, highlighting a sharp rise in investor participation and market activity.

Overall, the Nigerian stock market recorded total trades worth N11.94 trillion in 2025, more than double the N5.7 trillion traded across all brokers in 2024.

The growth was also reflected in trading volume. Total shares traded increased from 278.3 billion shares in 2024 to 452.5 billion shares in 2025, with the top 10 Nigerian stockbrokers contributing 49.41% of the total volume.

Strong performance by several brokerage firms drove this expansion. For this analysis, trade value was used as the primary metric, as it captures both transaction size and market significance, offering a clearer picture of each broker’s influence on the NGX.

Notably, Chapel Hill Denham Securities and Absa Securities Nigeria entered the top 10 ranking in 2025 after being absent the previous year. Chapel Hill Denham recorded N1.01 trillion in trades, while Absa Securities posted N426 billion.

Meanwhile, United Capital fell out of the top 10, recording N316.1 billion in trade value—down 7% from N341 billion in 2024.
