President sacks NDDC Chairman, names replacement

The Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Bassey Dan Abia, has been relieved of his duty by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Details are still sketchy, but according to Vanguard, the President has appointed a former Rivers State Commissioner, Ibim Seminitari, as the new NDDC Chairman.
Seminitari served as a commissioner of information in the Rotimi Amaechi administration.

Dan Abia, who was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2013, is an indigene of Akwa Ibom state.
