Empire Episode 5 ended with Hakeem being kidnapped following Andre’s baptism. The Lyon family come to together to support Andre; however, Lucious ultimately leaves as seeing his son being dunked under water, albeit willingly, is too much for him. We learn, when he was a child, Lucious’ mother (Kelly Rowland), was mentally ill and forced Lucious under water in a baptism fashion.
