Eminem
has some of the most dedicated fans around and this past weekend one of
Slim Shady’s biggest supporters, Gage Garmo, got his wish to meet the
superstar rapper after doctors gave him approximately one week to live.
The 17-year old high school student has been diagnosed with
Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Garmo’s dream was to meet
Eminem, so friends, family and fellow Em fans have been helping to
spread the hashtag #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem.
On Monday (Jan. 12), Marshall’s right-hand man Royce da 5’9″ revealed that the iconic rapper meet with Garmo.
“Mission accomplished,” Royce wrote on IG. “God bless this beautiful kid and thank you guys for all your hard work.”
A number of Garmo’s friends spoke to Detroit’s local Fox News affiliate
and sang the teen’s praises, remarking on his strength. “He never had
any sad or bad spirits about it, he was always so positive and that
honestly kept us positive,” one of his friends told My Fox Detroit.
“He always made me feel like I needed to be positive no matter what,
it was something that was like better for him. He just wanted to see
his friends happy no matter what he was going through,” said another.
On Sunday and on through to Monday fans hopped on Twitter to celebrate Garmo.
