The pictures show many thousands of MASSOB members walking down the Anambra state Federal road.
At exactly 8:15pm Biafran-flag waving protesters stormed the Enugu-Onitsha expressway towards the state govt house. All efforts trying to speak with the protesters proved abortive as one advised us to stay away before we get mobbed.
They could be numbered to be over 30,000 men on foot.
It was learnt that they are walking from Agbor, Delta State to Awka, Anambra state where they will takeoff to Enugu tomorrow.
A little hint on their movement:
They claimed that the Federal Government was marginalizing the Igbo ethnic nationality in Nigeria.
The protesters carried twigs,green leaves, placards and banners with
varying inscriptions like:‘ ‘Biafra must stand’, ‘Biafra is my home’,
‘We need Biafra’, ‘Zoo must fall’, ‘Biafra will stand’, ‘Biafra for
life’, ‘Biafra needs freedom’ ‘A state of Biafra needed’.Biafra or
Death’ and others.
